Embodying the spirit of New York house and the legacy of the Paradise Garage into this all vinyl mix, the DJ Palace NYC boys have got the journey vibes going strong in the 85th Good Room Podcast. The crew comprised of William Robbins, Tommy Castro & DJ Bruce started playing records together over late night sessions in their Brooklyn apartment and have since been taking over the dancefloors all over the city.

Scallywag is one half of the mysterious techno noisemakers and party starters The Long Count Cycle. He’s also one of the organizers behind the Closed Circuit parties and Fourth World with R Gamble.

A Good Room regular, Scallywag has put together a mix that starts at leftfield and ends at techno, just the way we like it. You can catch him behind the decks at Good Room on 03.09 with Marie Davidson, Veronica Vasicaka and Further Reductions at the Cititrax x Tinnitus Music Series party.

Occupy The Disco (OXD) is the New York-based DJ collective of Tad Haes, DJ RuBot, and Josh Appelbaum. What started out as a casual experiment by three friends to introduce underground electronic music back onto the gay dance floor soon turned into curation and experimentation behind the decks. Their shared love for queer nightlife’s musical legacy drives them to not only cherish the past but embrace the future.

Occupy The Disco maintains a residency at Le Bain at The Standard, High Line with their afternoon tea dance, Paradisco. OXD has also been played at Good Room countless times and we’re looking forward to having them back on 01.20 at Kim Ann Foxman’s Firehouse Recordings residency. The boys have put together a mix of foot-stomping house music for the 80th Good Room Podcast ahead of the party. Tickets available via Resident Advisor – bit.ly/2hwMqSB.

From college ragers in the dingy basements of New Brunswick, New Jersey, to secret spots around Brooklyn, Akanbi’s GROOVY GROOVY parties have been moving from strength to strength. Resident DJs, Akanbi, Teleself & Yogic, all strive to push engaging dance music through their live sets and have had major headliners such as Stenny, Andrea, L-Vis 1990, Egyptrixx, Bruce & Umfang.
