KiNK
KiNK has become one of house music’s most in demand producers and remixers: his tracks easily stand out in any club night and they are second to none in the most competitive environment electronic music has ever seen. His abilities in finding the ‘sweet spot’ of new machines and even of sounds considered ‘classic’ and to reshape them into totally different beasts would be totally enough to justify the phenomenon. Yet this barely touches the surface of the story.

Arguably the world of dance music has not witnessed anyone else rising so clearly from bottom to top just by the centrifugal force of sheer talent. Being based in Sofia, Bulgaria, without a support network, a campaign or any media hype, his music alone – live and in the studio – created a momentum whose end we have yet to see.

Ewan Pearson
Ewan Pearson has been making records since 1995. He has recorded as Maas for Soma, releasing six singles and an album, ‘Latitude’, and under a number of other guises including World of Apples and, currently, Partial Arts for Cologne’s legendary Kompakt label. His remixes for the likes of Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, Seelenluft, Cortney Tidwell, Foals and Junior Boys are considered classics of the form and have been compiled on ‘Small Change’ (Soma, 2001) and 2007’s !K7 2CD retrospective ‘Piece Work’. His production credits include Delphic’s ‘Acolyte’, Tracey Thorn’s solo albums ‘Out Of The Woods’ and ‘Love And Its Opposite’, The Rapture’s ‘Pieces of the People We Love’ and M83’s ‘Saturdays=Youth’.

A published academic and lecturer at the tender age of 27 (‘Discographies: dance music, culture and the politics of sound’ (Routledge, 1999) with Jeremy Gilbert), Ewan is a frequent speaker at festivals and conferences around Europe, he writes a regular column for Germany’s ‘Groove’ magazine and his ‘Enthusiasm’ blogs send readers hot-footed to record stores in their droves. As a DJ Ewan’s no slouch either, a regular at clubs from We Love Space to Panoramabar and a resident at Robert Johnson and The Loft, his sets – like the rest of his career – defy easy categorisation, marrying the independent and the underground with a pop sensibility that’s all his own.

Facets
Facets lives to Brooklyn by way of Belgrade, London, and Paris, with each city impacting on his sound. He has a passion for all things techno, house, disco and beyond, bringing them together to create a diverse sound.
