BASIC SOUL UNIT
Hong Kong born and raised in Canada, Stuart Li aka Basic Soul Unit has been steadily making his mark in underground electronic music circles since his first release in 2003. Reflecting his diverse interest in music, Stuart’s house & techno productions can swing from lush and soulful to crunchy and jacking. He has released and remixed music on respected labels such as Nonplus+, Dolly, Philpot, Mathematics, Mule Electronic, Versatile, Ostgut Ton, Créme Organization & New Kanada.

As with his productions, Stuart’s strength as a DJ is his versatility. Depending on the night and the crowd, he can throw down melodic techno, heavy jacking and industrial sounds, deep house, disco, and often a combination of these. Basic Soul Unit has also been performing live over the last 2 years. Stuart’s live set expresses the rawness and honesty of his productions. Expect soulful melodies and squelching acid basslines intertwining with rough hewn beats & jacking rhythms.

MIKE HUCKABY

Mike Huckaby brings the Detroit sound of deep house and techno with him. He knows the balance between deep house and techno like no other. He is one of those guys who knows all the roots and culture of electronic dance music. He is a person who can see beyond the hype and divisions within the scene. Mike knows exactly what the music is. As a tastemaker, educator, sound designer, and Motor City Proponet, Mike Huckaby has done much for Detroit electronic music. The man behind the once legendary Record Time store has gathered an encyclopedic knowledge of music.

Mike Huckaby has become the busiest remixer from Detroit in the past few years. Mike has been busy producing music on his two labels, Deep Transportation, and S Y N T H, which are well known amongst underground djs worldwide. With highly acclaimed deep house productions and remixes for Deepchord, Juan Atkins, Vladislav Delay, Pole, Loco Dice, LoSoul, and Pacou (just to name a few).

IN FLAGRANTI
The “fantastic conundrum” of In Flagranti is a disco symphony created by Alex Gloor and Sasa Crnobrnja. Inspired by their love of the pioneering Cosmic dance scene that emerged from 80s Italy and an eclectic bag of genres including “Funk, Rock, Punk, Afro, Electronica, House, Reggae, Kraut, Classic, Blues and Hillbilly”, the pair have been working together for the past decade, creating joyful and mind-bending sounds.

LLOYDSKI
Good Room resident Lloydski is back in the Bad Room with his record bag filled with gems and jams to keep us dancing all night long. The man behind ‘Dinner with Lloyd’ on The Lot Radio and one third of Tiki Disco has been kicking it around NYC for 13 years. Growing up around DJs, he was influenced by everything from The Human League to experimental jazz to disco. His favorite record is still ‘Is It All Over My Face’ by Loose Joints, but his best records are the dollar records he found digging around town at places like A1 or Academy.

SORAMIMI (live)
Soramimi is defined as “a mishearing or feigned deafness”. She regards her music as narrative imagery, with a sound illustrated by cerebral textures and dreamlike compositions. She brings a distinct fluency and gravity to the table of experimental dub techno. With a slow, pummeling rise into everyone’s sonic awareness. Her live set performances showcase her original compositions using outboard hardware synths and effects. She is also the co-owner of Dusk Notes record label. Soramimi is definitely one to watch.

NE SILEAS
Playing an hour of original unreleased and partially “unheard of” ambient/soundtrack-ish material.
